Meet the Team

Norddine Bennani (Partner)

From a financial crisis to the next, Norddine has been the Quant lookout on the credit desk, keep the ship afloat through the market storms. Graduated from ENSAE and holding a Master in applied mathematics from the University of Paris 6, specialized in quantitative models applied to finance, he was the Head of quantitative analysis in the credit front-office desk in some of the largest investment banks in Paris and London. He automated the quant analyses of all credit instruments on those desks, implementing risk management and market watch procedures along the way.

As quant moved over from trading to risk management following the sub-primes crises, he realized he wanted to make more of a contribution by offering his expertise to a larger number of management companies. He then became co-founder of BMA in 2013. He renewed with his inner passion for research by putting together, as a packaged solution, the tools used today by most BMA client references for their risk management and risk reporting activities. Within BMA, his solution building endeavors have carried him through challenging the most complex models. Doing so, he never left from the solid ground of effective field work with clients front-offices and trading desks. To Norddine, actual groundwork, integration and back-testing are key to make truly effective risk and pricing models. Today, his main focus is on implementing the solutions that create value for the traders and hedge the specific risks of illiquid assets. For this man of principle who has been on the cutting edge of trading in troubled times, the leading attitude consists in individually heading towards continuous improvement, for the global greater good.
